Eltel Networks Energetyka SA has implemented a project co-financed by European Funds called "Transformation of the Development Department of Eltel Networks Energetyka SA into a Research and Development Center".

The aim of the project was to build a Research and Development Center and conduct research on the possibilities of using modern measurement techniques and computer modelling to achieve a high level of network intelligence. The tools, processes and services developed as a result of research work may directly and indirectly influence the smart grid idea, increase the capacity and safety of power grids and the development of low-emission distributed energy.

The aim of the project was to develop methods of analysing the technical condition of power facilities with the use of modern spatial and thermal imaging technologies.
